Sunday afternoon by a score of 18-3. Mike Shea (Congers, NY) led the Dolphins with two points on a goal and an assist in the contest. Jason Reynolds (Centereach, NY) and Brian Zambri (Brooklyn, NY) were the other goal scorers for Mount Saint Vincent.

Shea recorded his goal at the 9:44 mark of the opening quarter to pull the Mount to a 1-1 tie with the Mavericks. From there, Medaille closed the quarter with six straight tallies to take 7-1 lead into the second quarter.

Reynolds scored a man-up goal in the opening seconds of the second quarter for Mount Saint Vincent, but that would be the only marker of the period for the Dolphins. Medaille put six straight in the net to close the half and took a 13-1 lead into halftime.

Medaille would score five of the six goals in the second half, as Zambri scored the only Mount Saint Vincent goal with 9:32 left in the fourth quarter.

Cody Green (Waldwick, NJ) picked up six groundballs to lead the team on Sunday, while Ken Valentine (Centereach, NY) finished up with five. Zambri and Greg Gabriel (Mineola, NY) each finished the contest with three groundballs.

Tom Egan (Nanuet, NY) started in goal for the Dolphins and made nine saves, including five in the third quarter. Mike Nuzzi (Westbury, NY) and made three stops for the Dolphins. Medaille starter Ben Dlugosh made four saves for the Mavericks.

Medaille was led by three players with four goals in the contest. Dave Bennett had an eight point day on four goals and four assists, while Brett Bridges scored four times and assisted on two other goals. 

For the game, Medaille held the advantage in shots 44-15 and in groundballs 55-29. Mount Saint Vincent won just three of the 24 face-offs in the game and went 1-3 with the man advantage.

The loss drops Mount Saint Vincent to 0-6 overall on the season. The Dolphins will be back in action again on Wednesday, April 9 when they open Skyline Conference play at Maritime. Face-off with the Privateers is set for 7:00 p.m.
