Patchogue, NY - The College of Mount Saint Vincent's men's and women's cross country teams took the course on Friday afternoon, competing in a race hosted by St. Joseph's University - Long Island. The invitational featured both conference and non-conference opponents, inclduing the Golden Eagles, St. Thomas Aquinas College, the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Monroe College, Pace University, Old Westbury, St. Joseph's University-Brooklyn, Farmingdale State College, Purchase College, Bloomfield College, Essex Community College and the College of Staten Island.
The women finished the day finishing ninth as a team, with the men coming in 11th place.
There were big time performances for both cross country squads. For the women, Isabelle Bagon led the way for her team, finishing with a 25:22:44 run time, good for a 27th place finish among all runners.
Carlos Martinez stood out on the men's side of things, finishing in the top 50 with a 6:23:2 pace.
The Dolphins will have a quick turnaround, as they'll compete in an invitational on Sunday hosted by Queensborough Community College.
