Kings Park, NY - The men's and women's cross country team competed in Kings Park on Saturday in an invitational hosted by St. Joseph's University Long Island, going against up to 19 teams in the tri-state area. It was once again another tremendous performance for standout freshman Isabelle Bagon, who had her second top-50 finish on the year. The Staten Island, New York native completed the race 44th overall with a 25:49.56 run time, with
Catherine Amodio and
Jocelyn Vega finishing within the top 100 runners.
The men's team finisged 16th overall among all teamd, with
Carlos Martinez leading the pack with a 35:11.68 run time, good for 93rd overall.
Matthew Smajlaj also finished in the top 100 (98th overall) thanks to a 7:10 per mile pace.
The Dolphins will look to regroup ahead of the conference championship next week as they compete with the top athletes in the Skyline.
