Box Score Newark, N.J. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Soccer team dropped its second straight contest on Wednesday night following a 3-0 non-conference road loss at Rutgers-Newark. Freshman goalkeeper 
Elizabeth Martin (Lawrenceville, N.J.) finished the game with a career-high 11 saves for the Dolphins. 
Rutgers-Newark struck with a pair of early goals on Wednesday to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. Sara Corson picked up her sixth goal of the season at the 11:26 mark of the contest on a play that started on a corner kick and Sabrina Solorzano tallied for the first time of the season at 15:56 off a pass from Sara Ramirez. 
The Scarlet Radiers carried the play in the opening 45 minutes, taking 17 shots against just five for the Mount. Rutgers-Newark also finished the half taking all five of the corner kicks that were awarded. 
Rutgers-Newark would maintain the two goal lead until late in regulation time when Cristina Estremera closed out a three point evening with her third goal of the season at the 88:02 mark of the contest. She buried a shot from the top of the box to close out the scoring in the game. 
Martin finished the game with her 11 stops, giving her 15 in the last two outings. Her goals against average moved to 1.22 on the season and her save percentage to .778. Diana Aviles made seven stops to earn the victory for Rutgers-Newark. 
For the game, Mount Saint Vincent was outshot 27-13, with Rutgers-Newark taking eight of the nine corner kicks in the match. 
Megan DeRosa (Cornwall, N.Y.) led the Dolphins with five shots in the game, while 
Julia McGowan (Pearl River, N.Y.) added four. 
Wednesday's loss drops Mount Saint Vincent to 5-2 overall on the season. The Dolphins will be off until September 30 when they travel to Brooklyn, N.Y. for a non-conference matchup with Medgar Evers. Kick-off with the Cougars is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
