Kelly Gibison (Waterford Works, N.J.) and a goal and assist from classmate
Megan DeRosa (Cornwall, N.Y), the College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Soccer team rolled to its fifth straight win with a 6-0 triumph over CCNY. The fifth win marks the first time the program has ever won its first five outings.

The Dolphins took control of the game early after Gibison netted her first two goals of the game inside the first 11 minutes of play. The eventual game winner came at the 4:45 mark of the match when she potted a pass from
Nicole Weber (Flushing, N.Y.). Gibison struck again at the 10:41 mark on an unassisted goal to close out the scoring in the first half.

In building its 2-0 halftime advantage, Mount Saint Vincent finished the first half with a 15-0 edge in shots and took all three corner kicks that were awarded.

The Dolphins struck early in the second half as well on Saturday, when DeRosa deposited her sixth goal of the season just 1:40 into the second stanza. She took a pass from Gibison and worked her way around the CCNY keeper to find the open net. Gibison found the back of the net for the third time on the day just 1:24 later when she took a pass inside the box from DeRosa and scored to an open cage.

Mount Saint Vincent would tack on two more goals in the second half with
Kelsey Wasnesky (Easthampton, N.J.) and
Gianna Petito (Toms River, N.J.) each scoring for the first time in their career. Wasnesky scored at the 55:14 mark when she chipped the ball over the CCNY keeper and Petito buried a cross from
Laura Schools (East Northport, N.Y.) at 71:02 to close out the scoring on the day.

Gibison finished the day with seven points for Mount Saint Vincent and added her first career game winning goal. She is now the team leader in goals with six and is tied with DeRosa for tops on the squad in points with 14. With six players with at least one point on Saturday, the Dolphins now have 16 players with a point for the season.
Elizabeth Martin (Lawrenceville, N.J.) and
Kerilyn O'Keeffe (Bronx, N.Y.) combined for the team's fourth shutout of the season on Saturday without having to make a save. The Dolphins have not allowed a goal since the 59
th minute of the season opener.

For the game, Mount Saint Vincent held the advantage in shots 22-1 and shots on goal 14-0. Mount Saint Vincent took seven of the eight corner kicks in the game.

At 5-0 overall on the season, Mount Saint Vincent will be back in action again on September 21 when it opens Skyline Conference play against Farmingdale State. Kick-off at the Athletic Field at Marillac is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
