Purchase, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Soccer team set a new single season program record for wins and clinched its second straight trip to the Skyline Conference Tournament on Wednesday night with a 3-0 road win at Purchase. Freshman

Elizabeth Martin (Lawrenceville, N.J.) recorded her second shutout of the season.

Mount Saint Vincent got the eventual game winning goal late in the first half when
Joyce Pagliuca (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) finished off her sixth goal of the season. She buried a feed from DeRosa inside the box at 34:05 for her first career game winning goal.

The Pagliuca goal was the only tally in a tightly contested first half that saw the Mount hold a 4-1 edge in shots. The opening 45 minutes featured five corner kicks, with the Dolphins taking three. Martin was not forced to make a save in the first half, while Purchase goalkeeper Briana Leon made three stops.

DeRosa got the Mount back on the board early in the second half when she converted her team leading 18
th goal of the season in the 49
th minute. She completed a passing play from
Alicia Forgione (Lawrenceville, N.J.) and
Shannon Doyle (Central Islip, N.Y.) at 48:30 to give the Dolphins a two goal cushion.

The Dolphins would close out the scoring in the game in the 86
th minute when
Gianna Petito (Toms River, N.J.) found the back of the net for the third time this season. She scored to the bottom left corner off a pass from
Erin Dailey (East Windsor, N.J.) for the final three goal decision.

With her three points on Wednesday, DeRosa extended her team lead in goals to 18 and points to 44. Forgione picked up her second assist in the game and Doyle recorded her third helper of the season.

Martin finished the game with two saves, both coming after halftime, on her way to her second career shutout. She lowered her goals against average to 1.11 on the season and raised her save percentage to .745. Leon closed the game with five stops for the Panthers.

Mount Saint Vincent outshot Purchase 13-3, including 9-2 in the second half, and took seven of the 10 corner kicks in the contest, taking four in the second half.

Wednesday's win moves Mount Saint Vincent to 12-3 overall on the season and to 4-2 in league play. The Dolphins will be back in action again at home on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Mount Saint Mary to the Athletic Field at Marillac. Kick-off with the Knights is set for 1:00 p.m.
