Yonkers, N.Y.The College of Mount Saint Vincent was shutout for the second straight game on Tuesday night and fell at home to league rival Sage by a score of 6-0. Louisa Jamgochian (Olney, Md.) recorded two shots and senior Blair Butler (Hicksville, N.Y.) made two saves in goal.
 
The first half was tightly contested on Tuesday as the two teams played a scoreless period through the first 32 minutes. The Gators finally broke through in the 33rd minute when Nicole Maher scored her first of two goals of the game to give Sage a 1-0 lead at the 32:51 mark of the match.
 
Although the visitors had the only goal of the period, the two teams finished the opening 45 minutes with six shots apiece. Sage goalkeeper Teagan Waddingham was forced to make three saves to keep the Dolphins off the board.
 
After a tight first half, Sage opened the game up coming out of halftime and scored five times. Gianna Sergovich scored just over seven minutes after the intermission and started a string of three goals in 20 minutes of action. Maher scored her second goal of the game in the 63rd minute and Kelsey Woron tallied twice in the second period for Sage.
 
The Gators finished the game with seven different players with at least one point and were paced by a five point night from Maher. Woron finished the contest with four points on the strength of her two markers.
 
Overall in the match, Sage held a slim 12-8 edge in shots overall, but a 6-2 advantage after halftime. Jamgochian and Meghan Siller (Staten Island, N.Y.) were the only players with more then one attempt for the Dolphins on the night.
 
Tuesday's loss drops Mount Saint Vincent to 5-7 overall on the season and to 1-5 against Skyline Conference opponents. The Dolphins will look to get back into the win column on Sunday night when they play host to Yeshiva. Opening kick-off at Tibbetts Brook Park is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
