Yonkers, N.Y. – Led by a hat trick from senior
Brittany Kehoe (Stony Point, N.Y.) and two goals from freshman
Allison Bhadai (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.), the College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Soccer program eased to an 8-0 win over visiting Yeshiva on Sunday night.
Bhadai broke a scoreless tie with her ninth goal of the season at the 15:45 mark of the contest and nine minutes later she pushed the Mount in front by two goals with her team leading 10
th goal of the campaign.
Eva Lugo (Monteria, Columbia) assisted on the game winning goal and
Louisa Jamgochian (Olney, Md.) helped on the second tally.
Kehoe got on the board with her first goal of the game and her fourth of the season off a feed from Bhadai in the 28
th minute and
Meghan Siller (Staten Island, N.Y.) closed out the scoring in the first half in the 34
th minute on an unassisted marker.
Mount Saint Vincent added four more goals coming out of halftime on Sunday, including two more from Kehoe just over a minute apart. Her second tally of the game came at the 50:18 mark of the contest when she finished a pass from
Sarah Colletti (Mansfield, Mass.) and her sixth of the season came at 51:35 when she buried a Siller corner kick.
Colletti added her third goal of the season in the 60
th minute on Sunday and
Catherine Maas (West Hartford, Conn.) closed out the scoring at the 73:15 mark when she collected her first career goal.
Mount Saint Vincent finished the game with five different goal scorers and eight different players with at least a point. Kehoe finished with six points in the game and Bhadai closed the night with five with her two goals and an assist.
Siller finished the night with her team leading fifth assist and moved to third on the team in points with nine on the year. She was one of three players, joining Bhadai and Colletti, who finished the game with a goal and an assist.
Blair Butler (Hicksville, N.Y.) earned the win in goal for the Dolphins after playing the first 45 minutes. Hannah Esan made the start for Yeshiva and made seven stops for the Maccabees in 59:14 of action.
For the night, Mount Saint Vincent outshot Yeshiva 24-2 and took seven of the eight corner kicks in the contest. Fouls in the match were whistled 6-3 against Mount Saint Vincent.
The win brings the Mount to within a game of the .500 mark on the season and 6-7 overall. The Dolphins will look to even their record on Thursday when they travel to NYU-POLY. Kick-off is set for 8:30 p.m.
