Yonkers, N.Y. – Brittany Kehoe (Stony Point, N.Y.) scored a goal and added an assist and was one of three different goal scorers as the College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Soccer squad scored a 3-0 win over Yeshiva on Tuesday night. Eva Lugo (Monteria, Columbia) and Sarah Colletti (Mansfield, Mass.) tallied the others goals for the Mount.
After Mount Saint Vincent missed on several good chances in the opening moments on Tuesday, Kehoe cashed in on her first of the season in the 21st minute. Deysi Mendez (Novato, Calif.) started the play from 30 yards out and sent a through ball that was deflected by Mari O'Shea (White Plains, N.Y.). Kehoe collected the deflection and deposited the eventual game winner into the back of the net at the 20:31 mark of the contest.
Lugo was the next Dolphin to score her first of the season as she gave the Dolphins a two goal advantage just under four minutes following Kehoe's marker. Laura Carr (Franklin Square, N.Y.) made a perfect pass from the right wing to Lugo inside the box. She tallied to the far post at 24:12.
After leading 2-0 at the intermission, Colletti tallied for Mount Saint Vincent just over two minutes into the second half. Kehoe sent a pass to the top of the box that Colletti drilled through Yeshiva's keeper to close out the scoring on the night at the 47:31 mark of the match.
Senior Kara McNish (Hawthorne, N.J.) and junior Michelle Miller (Chester, Pa.) combined on the Mount's first shutout of the season. McNish played the first 45 minutes between the pipes, while Miller got the nod in the second half and made the only save of the evening for the Dolphins. Eli Goldenberg went the distance for Yeshiva and made 11 stops on the night.
