Alexis Alessi (Rockville, Centre, NY) played another strong game for the Dolphins, making 10 saves in the contest.
The only goal of the game came at the 14:47 mark when Mount Saint Mary's Kristen Maggio sent a diagonal pass from the left side to Danielle Bucco who put in the game winner.
Alessi's 10 saves gives her a career high 143 stops on the season and Tuesday marked the eighth time this season she has posted double-digit saves in a game. Mount Saint Mary keeper Megan Cotta made nine saves in the contest.
For the game, Mount Saint Mary held the advantage in shots at 23-10, while the Dolphins took the only corner kick in the game. Fouls in the match were 11-9 against the Blue Knights and Mount Saint Mary was offside in the game six times, against three times for the Dolphins.
At 6-9 overall and 3-5 within the Skyline Conference, the Dolphins will return to the pitch on Saturday afternoon at Purchase. Kick-off for the Skyline Conference contest is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
