Women's Lacrosse Drops Final Home Game To Rams

Box Score Riverdale, N.Y. - The College of Mount Saint Vincent's women's lacrosse team hosted their final game of the 2018 season on Tuesday afternoon, with the hopes that they could capture their first conference victory this year. Farmingdale State had other plans, however, as they defeated the Dolphins by the score of 16-6.

After the Rams started the game with a goal within the first thirty seconds of play, sophomore Paulina Mandujano responded seconds later as she scored her 15th goal of the season to tie the game at one. Unfortunately, the game turned quickly into Farmingdale's favor, as they rattled off seven straight goals while scoring 12 before the half ended. Although Emma Dell'Aquila (2), Meg Merrell and Alicia Forgione all scored over the first 30 minutes of play, the Dolphins trailed by seven going into halftime.

When play resumed, the game continued to tilt in the Rams' favor. The team controlled the ball for a majority of the half, scoring five goals in the process. Amy Cohen was the lone Dolphin to score in the second half.

The loss puts CMSV's record at 3-8 on the season. They'll look to finish 2018 on a high note when they travel to both Albertus Magnus and St. Joseph's College-Long Island to finish their year.
