Box Score Purchase, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Volleyball team saw the 2014 season come to an end on Friday evening with a 19-25, 22-25, 18-25 loss to top-seeded Sage in the semifinal round of the Skyline Conference Tournament. Junior
Ashleigh Scozzari (New Rochelle, N.Y.) posted 10 kills, while classmate
Zana Daluz (Pawtucket, R.I.) hit .357.

Although Mount Saint Vincent produced three more kills than the Gators in the opening set, it totaled four more attack errors as Sage hit .364 to open an early 1-0 lead. The Mount held Sage to a .219 hitting percentage in the middle frame on Friday, but recorded five fewer winners. In the deciding set, Sage held a 13-10 edge in kills, hitting .250 to secure a trip to the conference championship match on Saturday afternoon.

Scozzari paced the Dolphins with her 19
th double-digit kill performance of the season, hitting .226 for the Dolphins. She lifted seven digs and chipped in with an ace and three total blocks. She closes out the season with a single season program record 319 kills and team-highs in digs with 268 and total blocks with 76 and was made a First Team All-League pick for the third straight season.

Daluz closed out the night seven winners, one shy of her season-high, and hit better than .300 in a match for the 10
th time. She committed just a pair of attack errors in 14 attempts and added a dig for the Dolphins.

Coming off Second Team All-Skyline Conference recognition on Thursday, freshman
Nicole Henderson (Bergenfield, N.J.) handed out 24 assists for the Dolphins. She added a team-high eight digs and a pair of kills. Sophomore
Maria Leineweber (Waimanalo, Hawaii) finished off the night with six kills, a team-high three service aces to go along with three digs and a team-best four total blocks.

Sage was led by a match-high 11 kills from Helen Putriment who hit .324 in the match and added 10 digs and an ace. Rachel Martin rounded out the night with 10 winners, while Siena Wilder led all players with 12 digs and Rachel Liebig handed out a match-high 35 assists.
For the match, Sage held a 36-31 edge in kills, while the Dolphins took a 6-5 advantage in service aces. Mount Saint Vincent also took the blocking battle in the match 7-3.5.
