Hackettstown, NJ - The University of Mount Saint Vincent found itself in the losers column for the first time this season, dropping a three-set decision to Centenary University on Saturday morning, (25-21, 25-11 and 25-18).
Freshman Evelyn Starns led the Dolphins offensively with five kills while adding nine digs. Jessica Broderick paced UMSV defensively with a team-high 12 digs and added two assists.
Anna Nolasco contributed three kills and a service ace, while Alysa Padgett finished with two kills and a pair of blocks. Angelia Donnelly dished out a team-high six assists and added a service ace.
Mount Saint Vincent opened the match with a competitive first set, keeping pace with Centenary before ultimately falling 25-21. The Dolphins battled throughout the final two sets but were unable to extend the match.
With the result, UMSV moves to 2-1 overall on the season.
