Throggs Neck, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Lacrosse team collected its second straight win and its third in its last four outings on Wednesday night with a 14-2 win over Maritime. Nicole Flores (Bethpage, N.Y.) led the Mount with six points and Kacie McCormack (Mahopac, N.Y.) made 10 saves in goal.
 
Kelly Fraser (Staten Island, N.Y.) and Flores got the Dolphins off to a quick start with back-to-back tallies inside the first three minutes of play. After Jackie Golematis got Maritime to with 2-1, Mount Saint Vincent scored the final eight goals of the half.
 
Flores scored all four of her goals in the first period on Wednesday and Fraser added three before halftime to get the Dolphins out to a 10-1 lead. Samantha Ramsden (Warren, R.I.) also had a big first half with two goals and an assist.
 
Coming out of halftime the Dolphins scored the first three goals of the second stanza, before Maritime snapped a 48 minute scoreless drought with a Jori Cooper free-position goal with just over eight minutes to play. Laura Carr (Franklin Square, N.Y.) closed out the scoring in the game for the Mount with 5:36 left in regulation.

Mount Saint Vincent had seven different goal scorers in the game and four players with at least two tallies. Flores added three draw controls and two groundballs to her six points and Fraser contributed two groundballs and a draw control.
 
Ramsden and Melina Mezzonotte (Shirley, N.Y.) each got into the scoring column twice for the Dolphins on Wednesday with Ramsden leading the Dolphins with seven groundballs. Sarah Colletti (Mansfield, Mass.) closed out the game with a goal and an assist to go along with four groundballs and two draw controls.
 
McCormack earned her fifth win of the year in goal after stopping 10 shots, including six in the opening 30 minutes. Meghin Paczkowski suffered the loss for Maritime, also making 10 save and picking up three groundballs.
 
Mount Saint Vincent finished the game with the edge in shots 28-18 and in groundballs 29-19. Maritime held a slim advantage in draw controls on the night at 10-8.
 
Wednesday's win pushes Mount Saint Vincent to 6-8 overall the season and to 4-5 in league play heading into the final weekend of the regular season. The Dolphins will close out the league schedule on Saturday afternoon when they play host to St. Joseph's-L.I. Opening Draw is set for 1:00 p.m.
