Bronx, N.Y. – Junior midfielder Nicole Flores (Bethpage, N.Y.) scored seven goals, including the game winner with less than three minutes to play on Tuesday, as the College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Lacrosse team earned an important 10-9 Skyline Conference victory over Ramapo.

Flores staked the Dolphins to an early 2-0 lead in the contest after she opened the scoring with a pair of markers inside the first seven minutes of play. She scooped a groundball on the door step and converted her first of the game at the 27:29 mark and then finished off a feed from Sarah Colletti (Mansfield, Mass.) at 23:44.

Ramapo would rally to tied the score at 2-2, the first of four ties in the contest, when Amanda Barretta and Amanda Ferry found the back of the cage just over a minute apart in the middle stages of the half.

Mount Saint Vincent would rally back with goals from Flores and Kelly Fraser (Staten Island, N.Y.) to retake a two goal lead, but saw the Roadrunners rally again to tie the score at 4-4 with 3:16 to play before the intermission.

Flores would get the Mount back out in front and sent it to the half with a one goal advantage with her fourth of the game with 2:16 to play in the opening period on an unassisted tally.

Ferry would open the scoring in the second half for the visitors and knot the score for the third time of the contest with her second of the game just over two minutes into the second stanza.

The Dolphins would respond with the next three goals, with the string started by a free-position tally from Diana Lawless (Rockville Centre, N.Y.). Flores would get on the board with her fifth and Lawless followed with her second of the game to give the Dolphins their largest lead of the night at 8-5.

Mount Saint Vincent would match its largest lead after Flores potted her sixth of the night on a free-position shot with 9:13 to play, before the Roadrunner stormed back with three straight to knot the score at 9-9 with 3:08 left in regulation. Ferry, Adrianna Tepedino and Barretta all scored just over five minutes apart for Ramapo.

One minute after the Roadrunners tied the score, Flores converted her second free-position shot of the game and her seventh goal to give the Mount a slim 10-9 lead late in the tilt. Junior goalie Michelle Miller (Chester, Pa.) let the lead stand with a big save with 1:23 left to play.

Flores was one of just three goal scorers for the Dolphins as she finished the game just one tally shy of the program's single game record for goals. She rounded out an impressive night with eight groundballs, five draw controls and a pair of caused turnovers.

Lawless continued her strong sophomore campaign with two tallies and now sits third on the team in goals and tied for second in points. She also won a draw control and scooped a groundball. Fraser collected her 13th of the season for the Dolphins and picked up four groundballs.
