Riverdale, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men's Soccer team dropped its fourth straight contest on Saturday afternoon with a 6-0 conference loss to visiting St. Joseph's-L.I. Senior goalie

Head Coach Gianni Grimaldi commended his squad for a well played opening 45 minutes on Saturday. "Tactically, our Men in the first half were nearly flawless, conceding few chances, three of which were harmless and easily saved by our goal keeper
Matt Calandrillo. The reason was due to the great cover provided by the technical experts of Javier Maduhano (Norwalk, Conn.) and
Andres Romero Port Chester, N.Y.), behind ywo of our markers
Daniel Gjelaj (Riverdale, N.Y.) and Brandan Chavarria (Bronx, N.Y.), along with our two defensive midfielders
Joseph Rosado and Elvis Lieku. In a well fought first half, we had bottled up St. Joseph's with relatively no problem."
St. Joseph's-L.I. would break the game open early in the second half when it scored five goals in the first 20 minutes of the period. The Golden Eagles got three makers in the first five minutes of the half, including Dettori's second at the 46:14 mark.
The Golden Eagles had three players record a point in the contest, with Dettori leading the way with six. Doug Kane also had a big day for the visitors with a goal and three assists.
Calandrillo made three more saves in the second half to finish with his six, while St. Joseph's-L.I. net minder Chris Muhs was not forced to make a save in earning the victory between the pipes.
