Riverdale, NY - The Dolphins have finally made it back to the dance for the first time in four seasons.
The University of Mount Saint Vincent put together an overall dominant performance against Farmingdale State College, en route to a four goal shutout victory to advance to the Skyline Conference Championship game.
The contest is set to take place on Marillac Field for the first time in program history. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 PM.
2025 Defensive Player of the Year
Trevor Pegg proved he doesn't just dominate on his end of the field. The junior was on the receiving end of a free kick after a Farmingdale foul and buried a deep shot attempt, giving the Dolphins a lead at the 26 minute mark.
The offense continued to shine over the course of the game. 2024 conference Rookie of the Year
Javier Trujillo was a spark off the bench, proving UMSV with two goals, one coming in each half.
William Sornin continued his terrific sophomore season in Riverdale with his seventh goal of the season to open the second half.
The Dolphins paced the Rams in all major statistical categories, as well as in the possession game. Senyer,
David Marquez and
Jacob Greiffenberger all added assists in the win. Goalkeeper
Samuel Reine picked up six saves.
