Skyline Conference Tournament on Wednesday evening with a 19-9 loss at second seeded Montclair St. Wednesday's loss marks the third straight season the Dolphins have been knocked out in the semifinal round. Junior

Jenna McColgan (Lynbrook, N.Y.) led the way for the Mount with three goals each.
After the two teams traded goals in the early stages of the first half, Montclair St. took the lead for good, scoring four straight goals to open a 5-1 lead with 23:26 left in the first half. The Dolphins would close the gap to 9-6 on back-to-back goals from Jessie Mitchell (Suffern, N.Y.) and Martin, but the Red Hawks would close the period scoring six of the final seven goals to carry a 15-7 lead into the halftime intermission.
The Red Hawks would go on to score four of the six goals in the second half to earn the final 19-9 decision. The win advances Montclair St. to the Skyline Conference Championship game where they will take on top seeded Farmingdale St.
Marykate DiBenedetto had a huge game for the Red Hawks as she totaled eight points on four goals and four assists. Laura Adams and Cora Delfini also had strong outings for the Red Hawks each finishing with four points in the contest. Jamie Hudacko tied the team-high with four groundballs and also led Montclair St. with three caused turnovers.
McColgan added three groundballs and a draw control to her three markers, while Martin finished with one draw control. Mitchell netted two goals in the contest for the Dolphins and also added team-highs with four groundballs and six draw controls.
Jackie Horn (Setauket, N.Y.) got the start in the cage for the Dolphins and made five saves in 14:30. Karen Laurent (East Elmhurst, N.Y.) came on for the final 45:30 and made six stops and picked up one groundball.
The loss drops Mount Saint Vincent to 9-6 overall on the season. The Dolphins will await word on an ECAC Tournament bid with the announcement coming on Monday, May 4.
