The game was all Mount Saint Vincent from the start as the Dolphins jumped out to an 8-0 lead before holding a 9-2 lead after 30 minutes. The Rams went on a run of sorts and at one point the score was 11-6, but the Dolphins scored seven of the game's final nine goals to put the game out of reach. The Mount Saint Vincent defense also had another solid outing as the Mount held an opponent under 10 goals for the sixth time during 11 games this season. Goalie Tara Staples (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendahowa HS) allowed seven goals and made six saves before freshman Alexis Balingcongan (Glen Cove, NY/Glen Cove HS) came on in relief and stopped six out of seven shots during the final 12 minutes of play.
Mount Saint Vincent returns to action on Wednesday, April 12 when they travel to Hoboken, New Jersey to face Stevens at 4:00 p.m.
