Marie Garcia (Medford, MA/Medford HS) scored twice, and fellow sophomores
Chanel Comis (Durham, NC/Cardinal Gibbons) and
Amanda Nadhir (Bloomfield Hills, MI/Marian) scored a goal apiece, but the Mount Saint Vincent Women's Lacrosse team fell to 3-3 after a 17-4 drubbing at the hands of Babson College during a night game played at Babson. After falling behind 5-1, the Mount battled back to make it 5-3, and the two teams remained at that score for nearly 10 minutes. However, Babson scored five goals during the final 4:37 of the opening half to break the game wide open.
Babson's five-goal run was increased to nine to make it 14-3 four minutes into the second half. Nadhir's tally brought the Mount to within 10, but Babson scored the games final three goals. Mount Saint Vincent was outshot 40-9 during the game and committed 25 turnovers to Babson's five. Freshman goalie Alexis Balingcongan (Glen Cove, NY/Glen Cove HS) made 13 saves to keep the game close.
Mount Saint Vincent returns to action when they travel to Vassar College on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. The game will be the Mount's last before their Skyline Conference slate begins on Tuesday.
