Farmingdale, NY - The University of Mount Saint Vincent returned to conference play after a tough double header against Hunter on Saturday, with Farmingdale State College on deck. The Dolphins dropped both games of a doubleheader against the Rams, putting UMSV at 6-15 on the year with a 1-5 conference record.
Farmingdale broke the game open immediately in game one, scoring eight runs in the first inning. The Rams continued to add on in the second to extend the lead to double digits, putting the game out of reach early.Â
Game two followed a similar script, with the Rams striking early and often once again.Â
Two bright spots in the game came from senior Emma Capozucca and freshman Carmen Henderson. The duo had hits in both games and upped their season averages to .327 and .452, respectively.Â
The Dolphins will look to regroup against Lehman College on Tuesday.
