Riverdale, NY - It was a tough go for the University of Mount Saint Vincent on Thursday evening.
The Dolphins played host to Purchase College, with their eyes set on evening their Skyline Conference record inside the Sharp Center. It was the Panthers, however, who walked away winners, as they swept UMSV in consecutive sets (25-23, 25-15, 25-15).
The Dolphins are now 5-8 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
Freshman
Jose Dominguez was the team's top hitter with eight kills, while
Tyler Hanna and Yestro Lucianio Jr. registered five and three strikes, respectively.
Christian Ferrer was a boost in the passing game with 20 assists, giving him an even 300 on the year.
Ethan Castro,
Roel Lucero and
Raeden Nieves combined for 15 assists.
The Dolphins will look to right the ship on Saturday on the road in another Skyline showdown with Sarah Lawerence.
