Dolphins Fall To 1-4 in Skyline Play Against Gryphons

Bronxville, NY - The University of Mount Saint Vincent fell to Sarah Lawrence College in Skyline Conference play in four sets, as the Dolphins battled on the road. The end result put UMSV at 5-9 overall through 14 games, with. 1-4 record against the conference.

Freshman hitter Jason Dominguez continued to stand out, with his 20 kills coming in as the highest total in his young collegiate career. Classmate Raeden Nieves wasn't far behind with 13 kills of his own, while Yestro Luciano Jr. contributed nine of his own. Freshman setter Christian Ferrer posted a new career-high, this time with 49 assists in the Saturday effort.

Freshman libero Roel Lucero led the charge with 13 digs, while Nieves and Luciano Jr. each had two blocks. While the end result wasn't what the team wanted, it was as tightly contested as it gets against the Gryphons. The end result of each set was 26-28, 25-27, 25-21 and 21-25.

The Dolphins are looking to regroup ahead of a road challenge against St. Joseph's University Brooklyn this upcoming week.
