Riverdale, NY - The University of Mount Saint Vincent entered Wednesday winners in all three of their home contests in 2026, but that impressive streak came to a halt with a 16-6 loss to Dean College.
The Dolphins are now 3-7 on the season as they now set their sights on Skyline Conference play.
The game was tightly contested early on. The Dolphins defense was stout, allowing just three goals in the first. Junior
Chai Dunlap helped chip away, scoring his ninth goal of the year to cut the deficit to two goals with 1:15 remaining in the first.
Senior
Isaac Parsons would connect on a shot attempt to open the second quarter, cutting the Bulldogs lead in half. From there, however, it was all Dean, as they went on an eight goal run between the second and third quarters to put things out of reach.
Freshman
Thomas Vallely would add a pair of goals in the second half, and Parsons secured a hat trick in the final quarter.
Brandon Mestres led the charge defensively with three caused turnovers, while Dunlap,
Walker Moore and
Sergio Romero had two apiece. Parsons, Romero and
Thaddeus Harris led the team with three ground balls each.
The Dolphins will have a week to recharge before opening conference play against St. Joseph's University Long Island.
