Riverdale, NY - The University of Mount Saint Vincent closed out the home portion of their 2025 season on Friday afternoon, challenging and losing to a tough Maritime College squad by the score of 19-5. The end result wasn't what was hoped for, but there was at the end of the tunnel in the form of
Isabelle Gurley. The freshman had a strong outing in an otherwise rough game, as she would record a hat trick while leading the team in ground balls (two), caused turnovers (two) and draw controls (two).
Gurley wasn't the only Dolphin to stand out on Friday.
Ella Meberg filled up the stat sheet in her own right, assisting on two of Gurley's goals while adding a score herself.
Makenna Reekie mad six saves in net for UMSV while adding a pair of ground balls and caused turnovers herself. Sophomore
Laziza Azimova opened scoring for the Dolphins with her third goal this year.
UMSV will look to close their season out on a high note with two road games next week, with the first against Mount Saint Mary College.
