Dolphins Fall Short On The Road Against Maritime

Box Score Farmingdale, NY - The University of Mount Saint Vincent was looking to finish their 2025 regular season on a high note, starting with a matchup out on Long Island against Farmingdale State College. The Dolphins struggled against a tough Rams club, losing by the score of 18-3.

UMSV is now 2-10 on the season with one game remaining on their slate.

The Dolphins did get off on the right foot. Their offense took advantage early when Ella Meberg took it all by herself to open the game's scoring, giving UMSV a 1-0 lead less than two minutes into the contest. The Rams would respond immediately, tying the game less than a minute later before going on a 14-goal streak that would span across the first half, giving Farmingdale the lead for good.

Senior Macey Forg went on to score her 23rd goal of the season before the second quarter would finish. Meberg would add one more strike before the fourth quarter would expire, giving her 17 goals and 24 points in her second season with the program.

Sophomore Isabella Melecio stood out despite the end result. The Hastings, Minnesota native led the team in both caused turnovers (four) and draw controls (two) while also scooping one ground ball. Anjie Ramos had a pair of caused turnovers of her own while goalkeeper Makenna Reekie had nine ground balls to go along with 18 saves.

The Dolphins will look to finish their season on top when they travel to Newburgh to challenge Mount Saint Mary College in the season finale.
