Rosemont, PA - The University of Mount Saint Vincent's men's lacrosse team made the trip to Rosemont College in Pennsylvania on Saturday for a non-conference match up against the Ravens. The Dolphins returned to Riverdale with a tremendous 15-8 victory, securing their second win of the 2025 season.
UMSV set the tone early and dominated in the first quarter, exploding for seven goals. The Ravens were the first to get on the board not even two minutes into the game, but freshman
Nigel Walker immediately responded with one of his own. The home team answered to put them up by one, but the Dolphins would go on a scoring spree led by freshman standout
Elvis Prempeh. The Bronx native impressed with a hat trick in under four minutes.
Rosemont found their rhythm and picked up the pace, scoring three straight goals to start the second quarter and cutting the Dolphins' lead to just two. It was sophomore
Chai Dunlap who put an end to the Ravens' run with a goal of his own, but Rosemont responded with another goal to bring the game back within two. However, UMSV was able to extend their lead just before halftime as junior
Isaac Parsons, freshman
Sam Hall, and Walker would all go on to score in the final three minutes.
Despite having a comfortable 11-6 lead to start the second half, the Dolphins continued their strong play on both ends of the field. UMSV put up three third-quarter goals, while only allowing two from the Ravens. In the fourth quarter, Parsons was the only player on either team to find the back of the net.
Prempeh, Walker, and Parsons all finished with hat tricks. Walker added an assist, while Parsons picked up three ground balls. Dunlap and Hall each had two goals, while senior
Ryan Jean-Pharuns and sophomore
Alfred Lamptey both had one. Lamptey also impressed with 14 ground balls and dominated face-offs, winning 18-of-23. Senior
Rene Alamo led UMSV in assists with 2. Defensively, the Dolphins were led by junior
Walker Moore and graduate goalie
Joseph Seminatore. Moore tallied three ground balls and caused two turnovers, while Seminatore made 9 saves.
The Dolphins will look to carry this momentum and continue their winning ways on Monday as they head to SUNY Delhi for another non-conference game.
