Farmingdale, NY - The Dolphins were back on the road Saturday afternoon to face up against the reigning Skyline Conference Champions. The Rams overpowered the Dolphins with 52 second-half points to come out on top 99-73.
The Dolphins started strong with an
Alex Chi three pointer on the first possession. The sophomore from Staten Island would finish the afternoon with 12 points, his 4th consecutive double-digit performance. An 8-0 run by the Rams would give them a 23-11 lead halfway through the first half. However, the Dolphins responded with baskets from
Max DePina,
DJ Tucker,
Adrian Rraci, and
Josiah Basket giving the Dolphins the last lead they would see with just under five minutes left in the half. The Dolphins only trailed by 11 points at the start of the second, but efficient offense by the Rams was too much for the Dolphins to overcome.
DJ Tucker led the Dolphins in scoring with 15, while transfer
Max DePina had 10 points, 4 rebounds, and a pair of assists in just 11 minutes of action. Senior
Adrian Rraci was also efficient with his time on the court. The Yonkers native stuffed that stat sheet with 8 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 blocks and 2 steals. Sophomore
Louis Vidal was a spark off the bench for the Dolphins with 7 points and 5 steals, while transfer
Josiah Basket added 5 points and 5 rebounds.
Next up, the Dolphins will take on Old Westbury inside the Sharp Center on Wednesday night at 6 PM.
