Purchase, NY - The University of Mount Saint Vincent took to the road for the second time in Skyline play, this time taking the short trip to Purchase College to challenge the Panthers. Despite holding momentum from their past victory over Yeshiva, the Dolphins were topped by the Panthers by the score of 75-60.
The Dolphins fell to 2-5 overall and 1-3 in conference play after the contest.
The Dolphins had four different players score in double figures on Saturday.
Julia Angeles had her best performance to date, as the senior put together a well-rounded 10 point, nine rebound, four assist, three steal and one block game.
Grace Kennedy led the way 18 points and four assists while
Nailea Green had 13 points and six boards.
Angelina Escobinas had 10 points of her own.
UMSV jumped out to an 8-0 lead, with Angeles, Kennedy and Green all chipping in. Purchase, however, would regroup quickly, regaining the lead at 3:03 in the first quarter and never looking back. The Dolphins would continuously chip away, as
Alexa Zephirin free throws would cut the Panthers lead to just one point. But to the opposition's credit, they'd go on a run to see their lead balloon to double digits, one they'd hold throughout the rest of the game.
The Dolphins are set to face off against Farmingdale College, who makes their way to Riverdale on Tuesday.
