Dolphins Take Home Road Win Against Bears

Brooklyn, NY - After a hard-fought loss on Saturday, the University of Mount Saint Vincent's men's basketball team headed to St. Joseph's University-Brooklyn on Wednesday evening determined to turn things around. The Dolphins did just that, and came out with a 78-61 victory over the Bears.

Coach James Mooney's squad dominated in the first half, outrebounding the Bears and shooting an efficient 46.7% from the field. Sophomore Alex Chi impressed early on with 14 first half points helping the Dolphins secure a comfortable 42-26 lead going into halftime. The Staten Island native finished the night with 18 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. The Bears were able to pick up the pace in the second half, but the Dolphins were too much to overcome.

Junior transfer Max DePina recorded his third double-double of the season with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Blake Salice-Mitchell and Aidan McCahey had 9 points each and the freshmen duo combined for 9 rebounds. Senior Adrian Rraci impressed with 5 points and 4 rebounds in just 8 minutes of action, while junior Jalen Lewis added 7 points and 4 rebounds.

The Dolphins will head to Farmingdale this Saturday to face the reigning Skyline Conference champions.
