Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Dolphins Struggle Against Sarah Lawrence Inside The Sharp Center

Riverdale, NY - It was a tough matchup for the University of Mount Saint Vincent's men's basketball team on Saturday afternoon, as the Dolphins struggled throughout the 40 minutes of action against Skyline Conference rival Sarah Lawrence College, resulting in a 72-54 loss. UMSV's defense had a strong outing as they forced 30 total turnovers, but their offensive struggles resulted in the loss. The Dolphins now sit at 7-7 in conference play and must right the ship in the final week of the regular season to reach the conference tournament.

There was a cause for celebration before the contest kicked off, as the athletic department honored senior Joshua Cabezudo in his final regular season home game as a Dolphin. The lead guard from Perth Amboy, New Jersey wraps up his two-year career in Riverdale averaging over 15 points and seven boards per game while earning a Second Team All-Conference selection in 2023.

The Dolphins trailed by double figures beginning at the 6:30 mark in the first half and were never able to recover. Kevin Agyemang continued his hot streak, scoring a team-best 20 points, but his foul trouble didn't allow him to fully take over the contest. The Dracut, Massachusetts native also led the way with seven boards. Freshman Louis Vidal went six-for-seven from the charity stripe en-route to an eight point performance while Adrian Rraci led the way with four assists of his own.

The Dolphins close out their season this week, with both games coming on the road. They'll first have the task of taking on Yeshiva University this coming Tuesday.
