Newburgh, NY - The College of Mount Saint Vincent women's lacrosse team traveled to Newburgh, New York to take on the Mount Saint Mary College Knights in a midweek Skyline Conference matchup. The Dolphins played another close game, but ultimately fell to the Knights by a score of 13-11.

Both teams started off slow offensively, scoring one goal each in the first period. A big part of the offense for the Dolphins today was sophomore midfielder Alicia Rodriguez who had two goals, three assists, four ground balls and nine draw controls. Senior midfielder Ashley Teal was also a boon to the team's offensive success. The Mahopac, New York native collected two goals, three assists, one ground ball and three draw controls leading the Dolphins offense in scoring their 11 goals in today's contest.

The Dolphins came out strong in the second half of the contest, scoring five goals in the third period and taking a commanding 10-7 lead late in the quarter. The Knights would go on to score six straight goals from late in the third period to the middle of the fourth period to take a 13-10 lead at the time. The Dolphins would add another goal late in the fourth quarter, attempting to make a comeback, but falling short. The Dolphins would fall to the Knights by a score of 13-11.

Senior Marisa Misuraca was right behind Rodriguez and Teal with a pair of goals. Rodriguez and senior defender Kaitlyn Cronin led the way with two caused turnovers while goaltender Katherine Hungerford collected four saves, five ground balls and a caused turnover of her own.
