Annandale-on-Hudson, NY The College of Mount Saint Vincent's women's lacrosse team traveled to Annandale-on-Hudson, New York to face the Bard College Raptors in a midweek matchup looking for their first win of the season. They did just that with a 15-5 victory over the Raptors, improving their overall season record to 1-3.

The Dolphins scored early and often today against the Raptors, scoring six goals in the first period and 13 goals total in the first half of the game. The Dolphins had six different players score a goal today, sharing the wealth among the team. The top three goal scorers of the day for the Dolphins were sophomore midfielder Alicia Rodriguez with five goals on the day, senior midfielder, Marisa Misuraca with three goals and senior attacker Ava Starace with three goals as well.

Rodriguez also added 10 ground balls, three draw controls and one assist to her stat line. The other three goal scorers for the Dolphins were Alyssa LaTorre with two goals, Kainani McConville with one goal and Ashley Teal with one goal. Teal also added two assists, three ground balls and six draw controls to her stat line on the day. Heading into half time the Dolphins lead the Raptors by a score of 13-2. In the second half, it was all about defense for the Dolphins, only allowing three goals in the second half thanks to a stellar performance from junior goalkeeper Katherine Hungerford, who had four saves on the day while only facing 9 shots on the day.

The Dolphins also scored two goals in the second half both courtesy of Rodriguez. The Dolphins cruised to a 15-5 victory to tally first victory of this young season and hope to carry that momentum into their next contest.

The Dolphins are back home on Friday against the Montclair State University Red Hawks, looking to continue their winning ways, but this time at the newly renovated Marillac Field.
