Brooklyn, NY - For the second straight night, the College of Mount Saint Vincent's volleyball team went to battle with the Pratt Institute. And for the second straight night, the Dolphins left the gym victorious. The Cannoneers put together a strong performance (25-20, 28-26, 25-10) but CMSV did enough to secure their second win of the season in three tries.
The trio of
Samuel Martinez,
Terence Strehle and
Kevin Erhand starred for the Dolphins for the second straight contest. Martinez paced the Dolphins with eight kills in 15 attempts while Erhand and Strehle combined for 14 of their own. Strehle was all over the court for the Dolphins on Friday night, with the senior also adding 16 assists, five service aces, three digs and a block to the stat sheet.
James Rose impressed in the serving game with six aces of his own while
Felix Paulino added nine digs. Freshman
Ronny Lopez Jr. assisted on three blocks as well.
The Dolphins will have a week to regroup before challenging Kean University and Hunter College in a tri-match in Riverdale next weekend.
