Riverdale, NY - After picking up their second Skyline Conference win of the season earlier this week, the College of Mount Saint Vincent's women's volleyball team extended their streak to two, defeating local rival Lehman College in a non-conference showdown. Head coach
Harris Boyes utilized a majority of his roster, with each player finding levels of success in the victory. The Dolphins now sit at 6-8 overall as they inch closer to a .500 record.
CMSV saw five different players record at least three kills in a morning contest that saw them win by the scores of 25-9, 25-12 and 25-20. Sophomore
Reilly Nichtern continued to impress as she's gained more playing time, leading the way with eight kills while also contributing five digs and three service aces in the victory. Freshman
Adelina Elezaj furthered her strong string of games with five kills while
Elizabeth Flores (five kills),
Dominique Otranto (four kills) and
Lydia Aryee (three kills) all helped lead the offense.
First year setter
Nicole Sullivan returned to the court of Saturday and posted a game-high 29 assists, with
Carly Snyder and
Samantha Rapp combining for 12 digs. Freshman middle
Jocelyn Castro lived up to her position with a team-best three blocks to go along with two service aces and a kill.
The Dolphins look to keep the momentum in their favor next week when they return to conference play for a matchup at home against Old Westbury.
