Farmingdale, NY- The CMSV softball team traveled to Long Island as they took on the Farmingdale State College Rams in a Skyline Conference matchup. The Dolphins looked to get back to their winning ways, but were swept by the Rams, 11-0 and 12-0.
The Dolphins were outlasted by the Rams in both games as CMSV was unable to get their offense jump started in either matchup. CMSV started the game off with a single from Senior Abigail Laurendeau, but the Dolphins couldn't manage to produce much at the plate following that. Senior Lakisha Camacho and sophomore Aimee Vega were responsible for the other two hits for the Dolphins.
The second matchup was more of the same as the Dolphins allowed 12 runs to cross the plate. Jocelyn Vega was a bright spot for the Dolphins in the second matchup, as she went 2-2 at the plate, accounting for half of the CMSV hits in the game.
Senior Renee Hoerning and freshman Sierra Romero both added singles to the stat sheet, but that would be all as the Dolphins would be outlasted in the series.
The Dolphins return to the field tomorrow as they head to Newburgh to take on Mount Saint Mary's College for another Skyline Conference doubleheader.
