Throggs Neck, NY- The CMSV men's lacrosse team took the field again to take on the Privateers of Maritime College in a Skyline Conference matchup. The Dolphins fought hard, but were outlasted, 23-2.
The Dolphins went up against a tough Privateer team and were ultimately overpowered on both ends of the field. The Dolphins allowed 17 unanswered goals before they were able to respond with a goal of their own.
Sophomore Jacob Cochran was able to put a goal past the Maritime goalie in the third quarter to give CMSV its first goal of the game. Senior Patrick Nagy was able to add to his goal total as well as he scored in the final minutes of the third quarter as well.
Unfortunately for CMSV that was the only offense they were able to manage as the Privateer offense would finish the game on a 5-0 run to close out the Dolphins.
The Dolphins will look to regroup as they take to Marillac Field to host Mount Saint Mary's College on Saturday, April 9th.
