Farmingdale, NY - The men's lacrosse program suited up for their second time this week, this time challenging Farmingdale State College in their quest for their second conference win in 2022. Despite a strong first half battle, the Rams ultimately toppled the Dolphins by the score of 22-4.
The Dolphins impressed in the first half, keeping pace with the tough Rams. Farmingdale opened up with three consecutive goals, but that's all they'd score over the first 15 minutes of play. After opening the second with yet another goal, CMSV would strike back. The first goal of the game from
Joseph Santana, who scored off a strong pass from points leader
Giovanni Jean-Pharuns. Less than two minutes later, it was senior Matt Pincus' turn, as he scored his 10th goal of the season and awarded Jean-Pharuns with his second helper of the afternoon.
From there it was all Rams, as the home team went on an 18-2 run before time expired.
Jacob Cochran would add a goal and assist in the second half while
Ryan Jean-Pharuns scored the sixth goal of his collegiate career. Sophomore defender
Adrian Guillermo paced the Dolphins in both ground balls (five) and caused turnovers (two) while junior
Sawyer Davis made 18 saves in goal.
The Dolphins wlll look to wrap up their season on a high note when they host Manhattanville College this comong Saturday.
