Dolphins Split Tri Match in Brooklyn

Brooklyn, NY- The CMSV men's volleyball team traveled to Brooklyn as they took the court in a tri match against Ramapo College and St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn. The Dolphins split the series, falling to Ramapo, 3-0 and defeating St. Joes- Brooklyn, 3-0. 

The Dolphins competed against a tough Rampo team as their offense proved to be too much. The Dolphins competed with the Roadrunners in the first set with solid plays, but dropped the first set 25-11. The second set was more of the same as the Dolphins were only able to put up seven points, but the third set was a turning point for the CMSV.

The game didn't go in the favor of the Dolphins, but the score reflected the hard work and intensity that CMSV displayed. Ultimately, the Dolphins fell to Ramapo in the final set 25-17. 

The Dolphins displayed the same intensity as they faced off against the Bears of St. Joseph's College. The Dolphin offense showed up from the jump as they swept the Bears 3-0. 

CMSV saw major offensive contributions from sophomore Kyle Thompson and junior Kevin Erhand as they led the team in kills. Thompson finsished with 12 on the day and Erhand ended with 10, while senior Christian Santiago recorded 5 on the day. Junior Samuel Martinez led the team in blocks as he finished with three. 

Serving was to CMSV's advantage as junior Terence Strehle led the team with 17 aces in the match followed by senior Miguel Losa who tallied 11.

The Dolphins are now 2-0 in conference play and look to continue that win streak as they head to Yeshiva University Tuesday, March 8th.
