Riverdale, NY - The Dolphins faced the tall tasking of going up against nationally ranked Yeshiva University on Tuesday evening as the regular season comes to a close. Despite a strong first half effort, CMSV was overpowered by the Maccabees, losing by the score of 90-69. Despite being 7-8 against the Skyline, the Dolphins remain in the playoff picture with just one game left in the regular season.
The scoring was there for the Dolphins all night long, as they shot a combined 48% from the floor, including 15-26 in the second half. Unfortunately, however, costly turnovers combined with Yeshiva's offensive firepower resulted in the home loss.
Dan Porcic once again led the Dolphins in scoring, as he put up 21 points on eight of 15 shooting. Behind him was sophomore
Haven Smith, who had one of his most effective offensive games in his young career with 11 points and five boards. Junior guard
Aaron Darab finished the night with 10 points of his own, while seniors
Kalos Evans and
Dorian Robinson combined for 12 points and eight assists.
The Dolphins close out their season this coming Saturday when St. Joe's Long Island comes to town. Head over to the Sharp Center to support the Dolphins in their final tuneup before playoffs.
