Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Dolphins Lose Late Lead In Road Matchup Against Rams

Farmingdale, NY - The Dolphins were looking to capitalize on their strong play as of late when they hit the road to Long Island to take on Farmingdale State in a pivotal matchup with playoff implications on the line. Despite a strong game, CMSV struggled in the waning minutes of the game, resulting in a 73-67 loss. The game put the Dolphins back at .500 on the season against conference competition, good for seventh if the postseason was to start today.

The Dolphins' attack featured strong play throughout the duration of the first half and into the second half. CMSV entered halftime up 10 points after shooting 40% from the floor, with junior transfer Dan Porcic leading the way with 14 points while senior Kalos Evans wasn't far behind with 11 of his own. The Dolphins saw their lead balloon to 14 points with 17 minutes left in the contest, but the Rams slowly chipped away over the final minutes of the game to give them the victory.

Porcic once against led the way with 20 points while Evans finished the contest with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore Elijah McKenzie had 13 of his own, with seven rebounds, three blocks and two steals.

Yeshiva University comes to Riverdale this coming Tuesday as the Dolphins look to right the ship and get back into the win column.
