Farmingdale, NY - Winners in their last two conference games, the College of Mount Saint Vincent's men's soccer team was looking to bring their winning streak to three when they took on Farmingdale State College on Saturday afternoon. Despite momentum being in the Dolphins' favor, the Rams emerged victorious, winning two goals to one.
The Dolphins are now 3-2-2 against the Skyline heading into a matchup against St. Joseph's University Long Island.
The Dolphins offense struggled to get going in the first half, with the team registering just four shots in 45 minutes of play. Before the half would end, however, CMSV would get things going. Graduate Student Luke St. Denis tied things up for his team, taking a pass from Ian Lamas before dribbling to the goal and scoring.
The Dolphins would generate more chances in the second half, as the team would take 10 total shots. Unfortunately, no shots would be converted to goals. A Farmingdale shot attempt at the 70 minute mark would reach the back of the net, ensuring the Rams victory.
The Dolphins will take the week to right the ship before traveling to Patchogue to take on the Golden Eagles.
