Riverdale, NY - The College of Mount Saint Vincent's women's volleyball team took the Sharp Center court for the fifth time in six games on Monday, with the team looking to keep their playoff hopes alive against Sarah Lawrence College. The Dolphins battled but ultimately fell to the Gryphons, losing in straight sets by the scores of 25-18, 25-18, 26-24. CMSV is now 2-6 in conference play this season with three remaining.
Throughout the first two sets, the Dolphins only led by as much as one point, with both sides trading leads early in the sets before Sarah Lawrence came away with wins. CMSV had their best set in the final one, with their lead ballooning to four points on three different occasions, but a late comeback by the Gryphons was enough to give them the win.
Junior hitter
