Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Dolphins Host Rams, Drop Conference Contest

Riverdale, NY – The College of Mount Saint Vincent's men's lacrosse was back at home on Saturday afternoon, as they hosted Farmingdale State College in a Skyline Conference matchup. Despite the strong play by the Dolphins throughout the afternoon, they ultimately fell to the Rams by the score of 20-3.

CMSV is now 0-3 in the modified 2021 season.

The Rams rattled off eight straight goals to open the first quarter, but the Dolphins eventually answered back with 2:24 left in the period. Junior attackman Matthew Pincus converted on a shot from deep to put the Dolphins on the board.

Senior midfielder Nana-Kofi Agyekum added two more goals to the stat sheet, making him tied for a team-lead in goals. Senior defenseman paced the Dolphins in both ground balls (six) and caused turnovers (two) against the Rams. Both Agyekum and junior Patrick Nagy added five ground balls apiece.

Freshman Dylan Gunther got his second taste of collegiate action when he relieved sophomore Sawyer David at halftime. Gunther added a handful of saves to his resume.

The Dolphins return to the field on Tuesday when they head to Purchase, New York to face Manhattanville. Stay tuned to CMSVAthletics.com for the action.
