Brooklyn, NY - After defeating Old Westbury for their first conference win of the season, the Dolphins were back in Skyline play on Saturday afternoon, this time on the road against the St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn Bears. CMSV picked up where they left off on Wednesday, as they defeated the Bears in impressive fashion by the score of 76-53. The victory brings the Dolphins' overall record back to .500 while being 2-1 within the conference.
It may have not been as dominant a performance shooting wise this game, but the Dolphins impressive on the offensive end of the floor for the second straight contest. As a whole, CMSV shot 47% from the floor in the first half, including double-digit scoring efforts from standouts
Dan Porcic and
Kalos Evans.
While the offense cooled off throughout the second half, the defense excelled, as the Dolphins forced seven turnovers while making the Bears miss all 10 of their three point attempts.
Outside of Porcic and Evans, CMSV saw strong efforts on offense from
Elijah McKenzie and
Jack Connolley, who combined for 14 points. Porcic also paced the Dolphins with eight rebounds while forward
Haven Smith led the team with four assists. Evans added three steals and a block to his strong efforts on the other end of the floor.
The Dolphins will look to keep momentum on their side when they take on non-conference foe CCNY this coming Wednesday in Riverdale.
