Brooklyn, NY - CMSV's men's basketball team stepped on the court for a regular season game for the first time since early 2020 in an opening matchup against NYU. The matchup, however, proved to be too much for the Dolphins, as they lost the contest by the score of 77-59.
Despite the loss, there were positives for CMSV.
Kelvin Turner-Harris kicked off his senior campaign on the right foot, leading all Dolphins scorers with 13 points, including shooting 50% from three point range. Transfer Shakkiro Samuels got his first taste of action in white and gold and impressed with 11 points and two steals.
Kalos Evans, known for his scoring touch, dominated the boards with eight rebounds while also pacing the team with three assists. Senior
Jeremiah Simmons was an efficient four of five from the floor while transfer
Dan Porcic added nine points of his own.
The Dolphins will make their return to the Peter Jay Sharp Center court this coming Wednesday when they play host to Hunter College.
