Dolphins Winning Streak Halted, Lose On Road Against Golden Eagles

Patchogue, NY - The Dolphins traveled to Long Island on Tuesday evening, looking to extend their winning streak to four against Skyline Conference competition. But St. Joseph's College at other plans, as the Golden Eagles left their home turf on the winning end of a close 1-0 match. 

The Dolphins, now 5-3 in the conference, would be awarded the fifth seed if the postseason began tomorrow. 

It was a defensive battle for both teams throughout the duration of the game, with the lone goal coming off a rebound. Junior Kora-Lynn McCullough made her eighth start on the season and collected eight best, a 2021 high. The Golden Eagles' back line was equally as impressive, with only reigning Skyline Conference Player of the Week Emily McCarthy and freshman standout Amanda Cotroneo recording shots on goal. 

The Dolphins will put the loss in the rearview mirror and set their sights on St. Joe's Brooklyn, who they'll take on this coming Saturday.
