Riverdale, NY - The College of Mount Saint Vincent's men's volleyball team was back in action on Monday. The Dolphins' most recently suited up for a Skyline Conference tri-match on the road, where they split with New Jersey City University and Sarah Lawrence College. While they were looking to continue their winning ways within the conference, Purchase College was too much to overcome, winning in three straight sets (25-9, 25-22, 25-18).
Freshman
Mark Nilaj, who joined the team just days ago, once again impressed in his early action with the Dolphins. The Bronx, New York native led the way with five kills while also adding six digs. Classmates
Felix Paulino and
Terence Strehle had four apiece while
Padelis Astrinidis added three kills of his own. Astrinidis also registered a team-best 12 assists and had a solo block as well.
Despite the loss, the Dolphins will look to rebound as they prepare for Yeshiva University, who come to town on Wednesday for more Skyline Conference action. CMSV will look to improve to 3-2 within the conference at 8:00 PM.
