Brooklyn, NY - After a busy weekend that saw the College of Mount Saint Vincent's women's volleyball program go 3-3, the team returned to action and traveled to Brooklyn Wednesday evening to take on New York University. Despite giving a strong effort on the court, the Dolphins ultimately fell three sets to zero. The team now sits with an overall record of 6-5 early on in the season.
Despite the loss, junior
Sayde McDermott had an impressive outing on Wednesday evening, as the Albany, Wisconsin native paced all Dolphins with seven kills. Senior and reigning Skyline Conference Player of the Year
Tara Maloney and sophomore
Samantha Schroeder, the team's top two hitters, combined for eight kills themselves. Skyline Championship tournament MVP
Madison Gale had 17 assists to go along with five digs while
Gabriella Maggi added 11 digs of her own.

Alexandra Madden played their part on defense as they recorded a block apiece.
Despite the loss, the Dolphins will look to redeem themselves when they return to the Peter Jay Sharp Center Court on Friday where they'll play host to John Jay College. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 PM start time.
