Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Dolphins Fall To Maritime In Conference Match up

Riverdale, NY - The Men's Lacrosse team was on their home field for the first time on Saturday and they were looking to secure their first Skyline Conference victory of the year. After hard fought battle the men fell by a score of 20-3 to cross town rivals Maritime. CMSV now sits at an overall record of 2-8 and a Skyline record of 0-2.

The Privateers of Maritime came ready to play on Saturday afternoon as they rattled off the first five goals of the day. CMSV would stop the bleeding as Nana-Kofi Agyekum found Jarrett McLean for the step down goal to cut the lead to 5-1. Maritime would add two more goals before the end of the first quarter to take 7-1 lead into the second. The second period was almost identical to the first as Maritime continued to have success on the offensive end as they extended their lead to 10-1. Freshmen Matt Pincus would try and spark the offense as he beat his defender and scored his 10th goal of the season. CMSV would end up down 13-2 heading into halftime.

The Second half was much of the same as Maritime continued their impressive play. Maritime would add seven more goals in the second half while CMSV would just add one off a goal by Patrick Nagy. Despite falling 20-3 Junior Goalkeeper Christian Brody continues to impress as he registered another 20 save game for the Dolphins.

CMSV will be right back home on Marillac this coming Wednesday as they face off with St. Joseph's Long Island in a Skyline Conference Match up.
